ntpnow.com provides a virtual terminal for processing payments online. This terminal can be used in any e-commerce site or application to make payments. NTPNow also provides a simple web interface to merchants to charge credit cards, void pervious transactions and issue full/partial credit to previous transactions. The virtual terminal also allows recurring payments (Fortnightly, Monthly, Semiannually and annually). Merchants have full access to add or manage recurring payment records. Merchants can view history of all transactions in their account. NTPNow’s virtual terminal is currently used by thousands of e-commerce sites as a payment gateway. Client's requirement
The main requirement is to create a virtual terminal which will remove the need to setup/integrate various payment gateways for e-commerce sites and enable merchants to charge credit cards of users, void same day transactions and issue credit to users. Quick easy access to transactions. Easily view and download reports. Manage single payment and recurring accounts. Client also needed a web service which will enable easy registration of an ntpnow.com account through e-commerce site. As it will process payments for various sites it needs to be very secure, impenetrable and reliable.

Challenges
The main challenge was to provide a safe and reliable link between customers, individuals, merchants and company or web portals offering e-commerce and Bank. Provide a secure layer to transactions and reports. Compliance to PCI security regulations. Fast transaction processing. Authenticating e-commerce servers. Authenticating merchant logins. Ensuring security by preventing hacker's attacks. Implementing Strong firewall. 100% uptime and accelerate response time. Providing a one stop payment solution to e-commerce web sites. Processing credit card details and user’s personal details in a secure way.

Solutions
A team of highly skilled experienced software professionals was chosen to reverse engineer the programs and modules. And the API documentations of all payment gateways used in this system were provided to them along with the client’s detailed requirement specification. The platforms used are ASP, VB, .NET and SQL Server 2005. The virtual terminal and the web interface were basically designed with ASP and SQL Server 2005. This also integrates different COM applications designed in VB and .NET. The Registration web service is designed with C#.NET. After analyzing all modules the coding process started. The team communicated with client and payment gateways to meet the deadline of project.

We have implemented authentication server to authenticate ecommerce websites so that other vendors or hackers can not access it so easily. We have also implemented strong firewall to block suspicious requests. We have also applied a very strong security policy to the ntpnow.com server.
